An airplane that was made during the world war and is still in use ... this is something You don't see too often. But of course, amazing and really good planes are here to stay. Douglas DC-3 is a good, small driven airliner. To be honest the maximum speed is not the speed of light but it is pretty impressive for a small airliner. So it should be safe and a good plane to go on a trip with.
