Planting small trees is a good idea for many reasons. For example, despite the fact that it is a tree, it is still quite small, so it won't take much space and light. Yet it is big enough, so You can use it as a fence and cover Your garden from nosy neighbors. You can even climb on a tree if You want. At least it is easy to climb and won't be too painful if You should fall down :)
