A mangonel was a type of catapult or siege engine used in the medieval period to throw projectiles at a castle's walls. The mangonel threw projectiles on a low trajectory and at a high velocity with the intention of destroying walls, rather than hurling projectiles over them. It was more suited to field battles. That been considered, I'm not sure where and why should You use it nowadays, but then again, why not? Even if it's not use for battles, You can just have fun with it. This Siege Engine Mangonel is quite easy to build too, check it out ;)
